Pack Name: Equinox Pack Alignment: Lawful Neutral Alpha: Dirge Pack Overview: The wolves of pack Equinox are highly militarized, yet desire only peace. They hope one day for transport back to the homeland and prepare to destroy Brutus and his minions, if that day ever comes. Wolves other than the alpha and consort are allowed to have children within the pack and can have their own dens within the borders of the territory with the permission of the alpha. Ranks:
Alpha - Patriarch or matriarch, the alpha is the person in charge, possessing the most clout within the pack and often the most respect or fear. Alpha who grow old enough to retire and still live take there place at the head of the council of elders, donning the title Ancestor. The current alpha may occasionally ask the ancestor for guidance.
Consort - The alpha's mate. Little more than an advisory position, unless the consort them self is respected among the pack. The consort still holds rank in the pack and may be anything other than alpha. They cannot be the alpha because then they would not be consort.
Arbiter - Second in command, the arbiter is the right hand of the Alpha and has final say over small disagreements, leaving the larger problems to the wisdom of the Alpha. The arbiter is head of the garrison. On occasion, the arbiter has later risen to alpha status, if they are voted in by the pack or successfully defeat the alpha in a challenge.
Ancestor - The former alpha who resides at the head of the elders. Often advises the arbiter or alpha on matters. An shamed, former alpha does not become the ancestor.
Watcher - Chosen from the ranks of the vanguard, the watcher is named so for how they are to watch the arbiter closely, for they are to one day take the arbiter's place when the arbiter retires. Or dies. The watcher is saddled with little true responsibility, as they are still young usually.
Vanguard - The pack's elite, from which the watcher, arbiter, and alpha usually arise. The best of the best, the most skilled and talented warriors of the pack often become members of the vanguard, though they also possess intelligence and cunning and are not simple fighters. Members of the vanguard protect the main den and are highly respected. Also, if at war, the vanguard serve as an elite cavalry of sorts. In battle, the vanguard is usually directed and accompanied by the arbiter and or alpha.
Council of Elders - The most intelligent and wise of the pack elders. Elected among the elders themselves, and approved by the arbiter, though the alpha has the ability to veto their choices. There are five, including the ancestor.
*Note: The skirmishers through hunters possess the same level of authority within the pack. Skirmishers - Usually the fastest and most agile, if not most skilled or powerful fighters, the skirmishers patrol the pack's borders. Would act as a sort of light infantry in a major battle.
Garrison - Every den, minor and major, within the territory has a group of the garrison nearby, for protection against bear attacks and those who make it past the skirmisher border patrols. They also guard the young while the rest of the pack hunts. They are not warriors, in the sense that they do not normally participate in major conflicts with others. Their key duties are to guard the homes of the pack. Usually, males or females wishing to stay close to home join the garrison. The garrison also settles disputes of violence within the pack.
Hunters - The hunters' only jobs are to track animals for the food supply. The entire pack hunts, with the exception of the garrison which stays home to guard pups and such. Serve as the bulk of the pack's forces in a major battle.
Pups and Elders - The old and the young. The elders elect a council of five. Do not be confused by the word elders. The elders are the wolves who have passed their prime and are old, but still able to hunt and feed themselves.
Omega - The outcasts of the pack who are not killed or expelled from the territory all together. A disgraced alpha often becomes an omega if their life is spared. Also, failed challengers join the ranks of the omega. Omega are not allowed to hunt within the borders of the pack's territory and are only allowed to feed off of the scraps left to them by the pack.
Territory Description: Mostly boreal forest, the territory can grow quite cold in the winters, being the northernmost of the territories, though is pleasantly warm during summers. The common layer of leaves that coats the ground, along with the shrubs and bush, create a place with a few natural clearings and soft ground for dens that possesses a steady supply of food for the pack.
There are times when the one or more of the 6 icy streams can flood, but that never proves any serious problem, though it makes crossing near impossible during such times. The streams most often flood in the spring, with melting ice and snow running into them, accompanied by heavy rainfall. At other times, the streams usually prove to be quite easy to cross and flow inwards towards the rest of the island, some joining up later on to form rivers.
Three words to describe it? Beautiful, serene, and eerie. One gets a feeling of being watched when they enter the territory.

a lawful evil pack OVERVIEWWith a will to conquer and a dream of becoming the ultimate overlord, Oberon has reached the conclusion that his “true purpose” of life will only be fulfilled if he attempts to take Exodus into his hold. With the knowledge of Brutus and how the majority of canines have fled from there to reach freedom and safety and landed up at Exodus, Oberon is prepared to use his solver tongue to deceive others in believing he is creating a militia to defeat Brutus’ own, when, in reality, the pack will only be spawned in order to gain him power. Despite this “brave deed” that Oberon’s pack is supposed to perform, the pack is still not entirely a good one. Hierarchy is expected to be strict; one paw out of line and a member is sent to be a prisoner or even slaughtered – there is no room for disrespect to those higher and no room to defy a direct order no matter how dark it may be. RANKS IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCEomnipotent pair alpha pair; their word is law. archduke / archduchess alpha’s second hand; one for each omnipotent. duke / duchess royal whelps of omnipotent blood baron / baroness have the ability to accept members at the border and make alliances knight the bulk of the pack; first into the battlefield and last out huntsman assassins; slay who the omnipotent believes fit or captures others to make slaves and expand nexus’ numbers nursemaid females whose job it is to tend to the sick or young citizen unranked; have yet to fulfill their given task juvenile those of nexus under one year of age serf the lowest of the low; punching bags to the rest of the pack. a combination of those who disobeyed the omnipotent’s word and those who were enslaved TERRITORY DESCRIPTIONBeautiful: a word that would not be used to describe the domain of Nexus. Home to the Nexus canines is a flat plain that stretches out for miles, dotted with a few trees that tower high above the grass-encrusted terrain. The floor here is entirely dry and grassy patches are rare, however, there is an abundance of compacted dirt that is uncomfortable to the touch. Located towards the south edge of the territory is a dried riverbed that only sees water during the springtime, and towards the east is the beginnings of another river that empties into the sea.
